Amazing pictures/diagrams, with text that is to-the-point yet extremely informative. I am a speech-language pathology major and I will be keeping this book throughout my career. I was amazed at how this book can be so small, yet give such a thorough and easy-to-follow rundown of speech and hearing anatomy. It's so easy to follow, that I sometimes just pick up the book and read it like a novel (is that too weird?).
My only complaint:
The book itself is not well-made (pages come out if you bend the spine too hard), which is a shame because it would be a great book for anybody majoring in SLP or audiology to keep with them. Since I want to hold onto this, it would be incredible if there were a durable hardcover version!!

torn apart

This book is very essential to me, and it's very helpful. However, when I received the book, it was completely torn apart. Almost all of the pages were torn out of the book, and I had to pay about $20 more just to get it fixed. I would have sent it back, but I needed it for my class. Before I bought the book, I made sure to check its condition, and it said that it was in "great" condition, with some highlighting already in it. The highlighting didn't bother me at all, but I expected to receive a book that was actually intact. I could have just as well, spent full price for a new book than spending more than half of full price just getting it repaired.

The content of the book was very helpful, however, the construction of the book was terrible. It fell apart as did several of my classmates' books. I was charged for the damage when I returned the book even though I handled the book with the utmost care.
